Monsanto, the most creative biotech company, has many remarkable achievements under its belts. From making artificial, and incidentally carcinogenic, sweeteners such as Saccharine and Aspartame … to deadly Agent Orange that was used to kill hundreds of thousands of people in Vietnam … to cleverly owning nature itself by squeezing in bacteria’s genes into plants, and calling it pesticide or food, depending on the audience … well, it is just pure genius!
However, now, Monsanto has one-upped itself. It claims to have found a gene that is responsible for “evilness”. This gene causes people to be greedy, evil, manipulative and deceptive, just to name a few out of the long list in the patent application. Monsanto, out of its love for science and sustainability – don’t forget it is first and foremost an “agricultural company”, according to its website – spent billions of dollars in finding this gene.
Apparently, this gene is found in only about 1% of the society. And it’s very highly concentrated among the 0.1%. Rightfully, Monsanto wants those 0.1% to pay up! After all, without that gene, politicians and corporations wouldn’t have been able to exploit nature and people. Destroying the whole earth and enslaving billions of people are not easy tasks – unique genes are required.
The sociopaths and psychopaths are however known to not easily part with their money. So this case is expected to go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court where experts predict that former Monsanto lawyer, Justice Thomas, will rule in Monsanto’s favor, as he has always done in the past.
Stay tuned!
